Planting seeds of mindfulness, creativity, and self-expressions through

Kathryn Samaltanos, Co-Director

Kathryn is a twice certified yoga/meditation instructor, holistic body worker, sound therapist and lifelong artist.

She has been teaching  yoga and meditation to children and adults for the past 20+ years and loves to share her passion for connection, creativity and nature to students of all ages.  Kathryn believes in the importance of sharing the tools of mindfulness, meditation and self awareness to children early on to help them to gracefully navigate through our fast paced, digital world. She knows the power that self acceptance and inner peace can bring to our lives and sees art as a healthy form of self-expression.

When she's not at Seed Studio, she is most likely on an adventure with the two who hold her heart,  her wily son, Phoenix and their rascally little dog Yoshi.

Heidi Craw, Co-Director

Heidi brings her passion for art to life as co-founder of Seed Studio.

She has been drawing, painting and creating ever since she can remember. Born and raised in Colorado she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Fort Lewis College where she studied studio art with a concentration in printmaking.

Heidi has been teaching art to students of all ages for the past 20 years.

Here she devotes her time and experience to encourage artists to succeed in the creative process.  She enjoys the creative challenge of making art from just about anything, loves working with the brilliant minds of children and is always excited to share her love of art with others.

In addition to Seed Studio, Heidi also teaches Art at Durango Montessori during the school year.

In her free time, Heidi enjoys creating art for herself, spending time with her awesome family, doing all things outside and the occasional good book.
